Where can this product be used and how long will it last?

The product has a class 33 heavy use rating to EN 685 for commercial areas, making it ideal for offices, shops, cafeterias, corridors, classrooms and other areas with a similar type of traffic. Life expectancy in these areas is 10 years minimum, provided that the product is installed and maintained in accordance with Armstrong’s instructions.

What about fire regulations and health & safety certification?

Flammability is tested to EN 13501-1 and the result is Bfl-s1. This means that, as a floorcovering, it can be used in all main office and general circulation type areas.

Static electricity: the product generates less than 2 kV on the stroll test ISO 6356. This means that the product will not contribute to personal discomfort through the generation of static electricity.

How's the product supplied?

It’s a 1/10 gauge, tufted low-level loop carpet tile. The yarn is solution dyed 100% Aquafil Alto Chroma polyamide. The backing is modified bitumen with a non-woven fleece.

The tile size is 50 x 50cm and they come in boxes of 20. The total thickness of the tile is 5.5mm to ISO 1765; the pile height is 2.7mm to ISO 1766; and the pile weight is 550g/m² to ISO 8543.

Is it easy to install?

Yes, using standard installation techniques described in BS 8203.

Is it easy to keep clean?

Yes, it is protected by the Armstrong anti-soil and -stain treatment, for ease of maintenance. Regular vacuum cleaning and spot removal, within a structured maintenance plan, is all that is needed to ensure that the product retains its appearance.
